Changes to payment transactions as of November 2024
New Standard for Electronic Payments: Annex 3 of the DFÜ (Data Transmission) Agreement V3.8
The annex number 3 is a guideline from the German Banking Industry Committee (Deutschen Kreditwirtschaft) that regulates the standards for electronic payments, such as direct debits, transfers and account statement data. The updated version contains important details to help banks and companies implement payment transaction systems including the correct use of the camt format.
Overview of changes
For international payments, Hamburg Commercial Bank currently only offers the DTAZV submission format for electronic payments. From 17 November 2024, you will be able to submit outgoing payments in the pain.001.001.09 format (EBICS order type AXZ) for international payments. If you already submit DTAZV (EBICS order type AZV), we will activate the new EBICS order type AXZ for you in addition to the existing EBICS authorisations (including limits) for international payments.
Note: The DTAZV submission format will probably no longer be available as a DK (Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft) standard from November 2026.
Intraday electronic account information will be provided every half hour in the future, provided that intraday provision has been agreed.

To use the HCOB Banking App from 18 November 2024, an update to version 6.0.2 is required. The new version will be available in the app stores from that date.
In order to avoid exchange rate problems, credit notes for incoming SEPA payments in favour of foreign currency accounts will in future be returned to the client.
For SEPA transfers and SEPA direct debits, we generate so-called Payment Status Reports (pain.002) for payment orders that cannot be processed. If the corresponding EBICS order types CDZ and CRZ have not yet been assigned to you, we will activate them for you automatically. You will then be able to retrieve the Payment Status Reports.
A security update that is essential for the Hamburg Commercial Bank electronic banking application is being carried out. It affects all users of this application. It is necessary to update the installed TRAVIC-Sign version to version 3.1.19. If you are still using an older version, you can find detailed information about the update on our homepage at https://www.hcob-bank.com/login/ebanking/.
EBICS products with a TOMCAT version lower than 9 are no longer supported in communication with the Hamburg Commercial Bank’s EBICS server. We have compiled the most important information for you on our homepage at https://www.hcob-bank.com/en/banking/ebanking/.
