Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
An inclusive working environment in which diverse perspectives and equal opportunities are key is important to us. We are convinced that an inclusive corporate culture attracts talent, promotes innovation and strengthens customer loyalty. This enables us to position ourselves in a future-proof, sustainable and value-oriented manner and creates long-term added value for our employees, our bank and society.
Code of Conduct
The key to sustainable corporate success lies in a consistent approach to the applicable rules and standards. As a privatized commercial bank, it is particularly important for us that everyone can be sure of the personal integrity of our employees and that of the bank.
In our day-to-day work, we act in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations and guidelines. In addition, the principles of conduct set out in the Code of Conduct also apply to all employees.
In addition to the traditional compliance rules, the Code of Conduct also includes requirements for the conduct of our employees in the areas of tax, finance, risk management, data protection and communication. In addition, the Code of Conduct contains standards of conduct that must be observed in our daily work with colleagues, in our dealings with our customers and in order to fulfill the Bank’s social responsibility.

Code of Diversity
Diversity must be lived: It is not just a matter of having certain rights, they must be exercised. This only works if there is a high level of acceptance within the company. That’s the way it is for us – it’s the standard by which we measure ourselves. Our Management Board is committed to diversity in a sustainable manner and together with managers and employees. Diversity is part of our identity.
The “Code of Diversity” makes the Bank’s values and principles on diversity visible both internally and externally. We consciously embrace diversity and see difference as a strength. At the same time, we oppose all forms of exclusion.
Our employees developed the “Code of Diversity” themselves. Our Board of Directors has bid him farewell. The “Code of Diversity” is our guideline for practicing diversity, fairness and equal opportunities. Since April 2020, the bank is a member of the “Diversity Charter”. As such, we are committed to a prejudice-free working environment, to maintaining an appropriate organizational culture and to reviewing and further developing our work in the HR department in line with the charter.
WELCOMING OUT
Since August 2024, we have been a PATRON OF WELCOMING OUT.
WELCOMING OUT represents a visible sign of an open and accepting attitude towards queer people in the workplace. It is not about changing attitudes, but about making existing openness visible. By actively using a visible symbol like the WELCOMING OUT symbol, a clear message of acceptance is conveyed. It encourages queer employees to be authentic without fear of negative reactions.
PRIDE Index
We received the PRIDE Index Gold Award in December 2024. The PRIDE Index, released by the UHLALA Group, measures the commitment of employers to their LGBTIQ+ employees and the LGBTIQ+ community.
The evaluation is carried out in the categories of organizational structure, human resources, communication & visibility and legal framework & regulations.
The index provides an inventory of the current state of LGBTIQ+ diversity management and serves as a guide for LGBTIQ+ people in their search for sensitive employers.
#workingpositively
By signing the #workingpositively declaration, we commit to embracing diversity and inclusion, promoting respectful interactions, and sending a clear message about discrimination-free treatment of HIV-positive individuals in the workplace. This also includes educating about HIV and reducing any fears among colleagues. Because an HIV infection is not transmissible in the workplace, and dispelling prejudices also helps minimize discrimination potential.
