A modern logistics facility offering approximately 61,000 square metres of lettable space will be
developed on a site of around 107,000 square metres near Koblenz. The property has been
entirely pre-let for 20 years to a major textile services provider and will comprise warehousing, as
well as modern service and office space.
The building is targeting DGNB Gold certification. Plans include, amongst other things, a
photovoltaic system, a green roof, rainwater management facilities, charging infrastructure and
heat pumps. The aim is to achieve the highest possible level of energy self-sufficiency.
Stefan Hoenen, Head of Commercial Real Estate at Hamburg Commercial Bank, said: “This
project will create a modern logistics asset with very good transport links and the benefit of a long
term lease already in place. Together with our syndicate partner SaarLB, we are pleased to
support Peakside in delivering this project with a financing solution tailored to its requirements.”
Boris Schran, Founder and managing partner at Peakside, said: “Hamburg Commercial Bank has
already supported us in several transactions as a reliable and solutions-oriented financing partner.
We are therefore particularly pleased to continue our successful collaboration on this significant
logistics development project. The location stands out for its excellent links to rail, road and inland
waterway transport.”
