Security warning: phishing e-mails in circulation
E-mails with forged sender addresses are currently being sent to Hamburg Commercial Bank customers. These e-mails are used in an attempt to obtain confidential customer data.
“Phishing” explained
“Phishing” involves faking the e-mail sender address of well-known companies and service providers. Either the access data is requested directly from the customer by e-mail or a link in the e-mail leads to a fake website. Personal information or access data is then requested and forwarded to unauthorised persons.
Please note: Hamburg Commercial Bank will never request confidential data from you by e-mail, telephone or SMS and will not ask you to provide this data or input it directly.
We will also not send you any e-mails containing a direct link to the electronic banking login. If you receive such e-mails, do not follow the instructions in these e-mails under any circumstances.
If you suspect that your access data has been disclosed to unauthorised persons, please change your access data immediately in Hamburg Commercial Bank’s electronic banking system under “User settings”.
