Professional experience
Ulrik Lackschewitz has been Chief Risk Officer of the Bank since June 2015. He has been Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board since September 2024, a position he also held from the end of 2018 to March 2024. He was interim Chief Executive Officer from April to August 2024. In his prominent position, he has played a decisive role in shaping the success of Hamburg Commercial Bank in recent years. Before Ulrik, who was born in Sweden in 1968, moved to HCOB’s predecessor institution,
he was Group Head Financial and Risk Control at Nord/LB in Hanover. Previously, he held positions of responsibility including Chief Operating Officer for the Macquarie Securities Group and Head of Risk Management at Sal. Oppenheim Jr. & Cie. His previous positions were at BFG Bank and Citibank. Ulrik Lackschewitz graduated from the University of Uppsala in Sweden with a Master of Science in Business Studies and Economics. He is married.
