Professional experience
Stefan Hoenen has been responsible for the bank’s entire real estate business as Head of Commercial Real Estate since November 2025. He joined the bank in 2014, initially setting up the branch in Frankfurt am Main and was most recently responsible for the real estate business in south-west Germany. Prior to that, he spent ten years working for national and international banks, gaining extensive expertise in cross-border commercial real estate financing with positions in London, Stockholm and Frankfurt am Main. Stefan studied banking and finance as well as real estate economics at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and holds a degree in business administration and a Master of Science in Real Estate.
He lives north of Frankfurt, is married and has three children. As a gourmet, he enjoys culinary experiences – whether cooking or dining with others. He keeps fit by skiing and mountain biking. Travelling and experiencing other countries are among his particular interests.
