Professional experience
With more than 30 years of experience in the banking sector, Herbert Woisetschläger has an in-depth understanding of the lending business from a wide range of perspectives. Throughout his career, he has supported numerous companies through different market cycles, driven growth initiatives, and managed complex portfolio transactions.
Prior to joining HCOB, he was Head of Large Credit Underwriting at UniCredit Bank GmbH, where he was responsible for the large corporate client portfolio. Before that, he held various senior management positions within the UniCredit Group, including roles in Corporate & Investment Banking and Risk Management. His expertise covers mid-sized corporate clients, including the SME segment, as well as leveraged finance and project finance.
Herbert Woisetschläger holds a degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) and completed an MBA at Henley Business School, University of Reading (UK). He is married and the father of two sons. In his spare time, the Bavarian native enjoys spending time with his family, particularly while traveling together or exploring culinary experiences. To balance his professional life, he stays active by running and, when time permits, (ski) mountaineering.
