Professional experience
Dr. Janina Schmidt-Keßler is General Counsel and heads the Bank’s legal department. As Head of Board Affairs, she is also responsible for all matters relating to the Management Board, Supervisory Board and shareholders and she is the interface between the supervisory authority and the Bank.
Prior to this, she worked for several years in a major international law firm in the field of banking finance, in particular advising financial creditors in complex restructurings and financings. After graduating from Bucerius Law School, Dr. Janina Schmidt-Keßler completed her doctorate at the Chair of Corporate Law under Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Karsten Schmidt.
