- Long-standing HCOB manager to take over as head on 1 October 2026
HAMBURG/GERMANY – Hamburg Commercial Bank AG (HCOB) is establishing a new Products Division to consolidate its product-related activities and expertise. Frank Rabouw (50), who has been with the bank for around 16 years, will lead the division and further develop the business line strategically.
“In the new Products Division, we are pooling our product expertise to provide more comprehensive support to our clients, diversify our revenue base further, and thereby contribute to HCOB’s long-term profitability,” said Jens Thiele, Chief Investment Officer and responsible for all client business at Hamburg Commercial Bank. “Frank Rabouw has many years of leadership experience and combines extensive product expertise and strong execution skills. This makes him ideally suited to build and develop the new division. We wish Frank every success in his new role.”
Frank Rabouw has over 25 years of experience in treasury, accounting, risk control and capital markets products. He has been with HCOB and its predecessor institution since 2010. Since 2019, he has been in charge of the Balance Sheet Management unit, where he has been responsible for the bank’s refinancing and deposit strategy, among other things. Most recently, he led the development and market launch of the digital brand Hamburg Direct Bank, through which HCOB has successfully attracted retail deposits since March 2026. Prior to his role in Balance Sheet Management, the Dutch-born executive served as Head of Bank Accounting and held various positions in Risk Control. Other stops in his career included Rabobank International and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In his new position, Frank Rabouw will be responsible for the previously existing Cash & Trade Services and Capital Markets Sales units and will continue to be responsible for HCOB’s direct retail deposit business via the online platform Hamburg Direct Bank and through Raisin.
