ABO Energy
ABO Energy has around 30 years of experience in planning and constructing renewable energy projects. These include wind and solar parks as well as storage and hydrogen projects. Together, more than 1,200 employees worldwide are working on the success of the energy transition.
Financing solar parks
Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB) is providing ABO Energy with 35 million euros for the financing of the development and construction phase of seven solar parks in Germany. The term is about three years. What is special about the financing is that it also includes part of the development phase. This enables ABO Energy to secure the solar modules needed for the solar parks at an early stage, thus advancing the expansion of solar energy in Germany more quickly.
Project details
The seven solar parks, with a total capacity of 61 MWp (megawatt peak), will produce 67.4 terawatt hours of electricity per year, which is equivalent to the needs of around 17,000 four-person households. They are located in Bavaria, Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia. The first parks will be connected to the grid in the first quarter of 2025. ABO Energy has already connected almost 1,000 renewable energy plants with a capacity of almost 2,700 megawatts to the grid worldwide, half of them in Germany.
