Whistleblower System
Hamburg Commercial Bank AG has implemented an anonymous communication platform for its (also former) employees, customers, suppliers, external employees and other third parties inclusive employees of the value chain together with BDO, its ombudsman, which already provides the whistleblower system for the bank.
This platform enables all whistleblowers to submit information anonymously. This gives all whistleblowers, both internal and external, the possibility of confidential and anonymous communication on known or suspected legal violations in addition to the existing communication channels, such as telephone hotlines or e-mail inboxes, both within the sphere of Hamburg Commercial Bank AG and with the ombudsman. The ombudsman receives your information confidentially and/or anonymously and forwards it anonymously to the Compliance department of Hamburg Commercial Bank AG for clarification. In this way, persons who report legal violations in good faith are guaranteed the greatest possible confidentiality and the greatest possible protection of their identity, including against possible reprisals or discrimination as a result of the information provided. Persons who are themselves the subject of the report or named in the report are also equally protected. Hamburg Commercial Bank AG generally waives all claims for information and disclosure within the scope of the client relationship insofar as the anonymity of the person providing the information could be jeopardized. The whistleblower therefore remains anonymous to the bank.
